JavaScript Job: Web Developer

You will join an interdisciplinary team of scientists and technologists driven to removing barriers to data sharing and enabling knowledge discovery through advanced analytics. Currently, we’re seeking a web developer to add to our growing team. We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about quality and craft and wants to push the boundaries of modern web development and UI/UX.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with software engineers, UX designers, and project managers to implement versatile websites using current front-end technologies and best practices
• Develop user interfaces for business requirements that are secure, flexible, and scalable
• Implement reusable UI components to be used in large cloud-based web applications
• Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences for a wide range of devices
• Implement changes based on stakeholders feedback
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or relevant experience
• 1-2+ years of experience working with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and related front-end technologies in a professional environment
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and version control systems like Git
• Familiarity with structured data and headless CMS platforms like Strapi
• Experience working with any front-end framework such as React, Vue or Angular
• Understanding of REST APIs
• Understanding of responsive design and experience working with component libraries such as Bootstrap, MUI etc.
• Understanding of SEO concepts and experience with Google Analytics
• Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

Preferred

• Strong understanding of UI design principles
• Knowledge of core AWS services
• Experience with data visualization
• Experience working in Agile software development environment
